運送政策
We ship within Canada only, from our office in Richmond Hill, Ontario. This is a summary of how we ship. The full Shipping Policy is published at orchidmart.ca/pages/shipping-policy and forms part of your purchase agreement.
Your address. You are responsible for the delivery address on your order, including unit number, buzzer or entry code and any access instruction. We ship to the address exactly as given, and we are not responsible for delay, damage or loss caused by an address that is incomplete or incorrect. Purolator and UPS do not deliver to PO Boxes. If a parcel is returned to the carrier's depot because of an address problem, it is your responsibility to contact the carrier and arrange collection. If a parcel comes back to us, no refund is issued for the plants, and new postage is payable if you would like it sent again. Address changes are possible only before dispatch.
Processing and dispatch. In-stock orders are dispatched within 2–4 business days. Preorder plants are imported for you and arrive on the schedule published for each import; see our Processing and Shipping Time page. We ship Monday to Thursday and do not dispatch on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. If you would like your order to leave on a particular day, or you will be away and cannot receive it, tell us before dispatch.
Carriers. We ship plants with Purolator and UPS. We do not send plants with Canada Post — Canada Post is available for dry goods only, such as growing media, pots and tools. If you need a particular carrier, tell us before dispatch.
Transit times are not guaranteed. Times shown at checkout are carrier estimates. Purolator and UPS do not compensate for late delivery — a next-day service may take two or three days, and express service carries no enforceable time guarantee. We are not able to compensate for carrier delays or misrouting, or for their consequences; such a claim lies between you and the carrier. Transit times lengthen across the board during November and December, and to remote and northern postal codes.
Choosing a slower service. We recommend the fastest service you can reasonably take. Where a slower service is chosen, a degree of transit wear must be expected — commonly 10–15% — including dried roots, damp packaging, yellowed leaves and leaf drop. This is normal for bare-root plants, is consistent with the AS-IS condition on which our plants are sold, and is not compensated. Buds and open flowers are never guaranteed and frequently drop in transit.
Packaging. Orders are packed by our standard method. We do not offer special or gift packaging. Plants listed as bare-root arrive without growing medium and without a pot, or with only simple packing material to hold moisture around the roots.
Weather. We decide whether it is safe to ship on the day, and will hold an order until conditions improve. Winter shipping protection is required for orders travelling in cold weather, and orders placed in cold weather without it will be cancelled. In hot weather we strongly recommend the fastest service and ask that you bring the parcel indoors on the day it arrives.
Delivery and damage. Once a parcel is marked delivered by the carrier, responsibility for it passes to you. If a plant arrives damaged, photograph it as you unpack and contact us within 24 hours of the recorded delivery time. Claims received after 24 hours cannot be processed.
Returns. All plant sales are final, without exception. Plants are covered only by our Live Arrival Guarantee. Non-plant items may be returned under the conditions in our Return and Refund Policy.
