We are a Canadian importer of orchids and specialty plants. Through our group preorders, you choose plants from our international growers' lists, we combine everyone's orders into one shipment, and we handle the entire import into Canada for you. Each preorder collection runs on its own timeline, and you can follow its live progress on the collection page or on our Preorder Status Tracking page.

We combine all orders and prepare the paperwork.

The order is placed and paid with the grower.

Waiting Permit
Est. 20–30d
Phytosanitary and CITES permits are issued abroad. Usually the longest step.
STEP 6
Flight Booked
Est. 3–5d
The shipment is booked and on its way to Canada.

Arrived

Plants clear customs and are unpacked and checked.

OrchidMart specializes in the international import of orchids and horticultural plants. We work closely with a network of growers across Asia, South America and Europe to bring hobby growers in Canada a diverse and constantly changing selection — including many species and named cultivars that rarely reach North America.
Our business runs in two parts. Preorders let you buy directly from a grower's list at a group order price, imported specially for you. Once a shipment arrives, any extra plants are settled in and offered as in-stock plants, ready to ship right away.
As an importer, our job is to describe each plant honestly — its size, maturity and condition on arrival — and to ship it as close to that description as we can.

✅ Cancellation & live arrival guarantee: You may cancel a preorder for a full refund any time before the order closes. After the order closes we have already paid the grower, so preorders can no longer be cancelled. Every preorder is covered by our live arrival guarantee — see Shipping Condition for details.
⚠️ PREORDER ITEMS ARE NOT IN STOCK. Preorders follow their own import timeline, completely separate from in-stock items. Expected arrival dates are estimates and can move with permits and flight availability — always check Preorder Status Tracking for the latest.
🌿 Imported plants arrive bare-root. After an international journey, plants may arrive with some leaf marks, slight dehydration or a limited root system. This is normal for imported plants and they recover with care. If you are new to orchids, please read our Instructions before placing an order.
⚠️ We recommend not mixing preorder items with in-stock items, as preorders take longer to process. During this time, in-stock items may no longer be in their originally described condition. If you choose to place a mixed order, we will hold the shipment and dispatch everything only after the last item has arrived.
📦 Combined shipment: If you need to add items to an existing order (up to 3 items), please contact us with your order number and we will adjust it manually. For more than 3 items, please place a new order with shipping — we will combine all available items and refund any shipping overage.
