Received a nice sized plant with lots of plump green roots and leaves. Two months after planting it initiated a spike!
Received a small plant with lots of healthy roots. Two months later and there’s a new leaf.
Received a plant with two larger fans and two small outgrowths. The roots were so-so but overall it looked healthy. A week or so after planting, a flower spike popped out but I pinched it off to promote tooth growth instead. Now two months later it has many new roots and the outgrowth has grown nicely.
Received this young one almost 3 weeks ago, as a “Bare Root Import”, freshly potted up & imported. The plant showed no signs of dehydration, or any signs of major stress: its Plump Pseudobulbs, Vivid Green Leaves on study Stems/Pseudobulbs is a good indicator of a healthy plant. With the Cattleya Family & kin, sometimes it takes quite a while for them to kick back into major growing and eventually producing a Sheath….. I have no doubt that this beauty will do just fine. I have yet to have any of my Orchids that I have purchased from OrchidMart/Evan die on me….. each and every one of them has surpassed my expectation. Evan is quite the “Quality Control Affectionado”: if the Orchid doesn’t meet his strict quality standards, it doesn’t go out!
